

Geraldine "Geri" D. Shaw passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2015 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born on July 13, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio. She married the love of her life, William "Bill" Shaw on February 7, 1959 in Phoenix, AZ. They moved to Yuma in 1960.
Geri was an avid doll historian and collector. She spent years involved in buying, selling and restoring dolls. Geri graduated from Glendale High School in 1953, graduated from AWC, then received her Bachelors degree from NAU in 1975. She was a student teacher at Woodard Jr. High School, taught at 4th Ave Jr. High from 1978 to 1988. She was co-owner and co-operator of Yuma Teaching Supplies from 1980-2004. Member of Glendale Chapter #20 Order of Eastern Star for 62 years and member of Yuma Chapter #14 and majority member of Glendale Assembly #8 I.O.R.G. (International Order of the Rainbow for Girls). Geri was an active member and president of The Yuma Doll Club and was also an active member of the 11 ½ Doll Club of Yuma.
Geri is survived by her husband, Bill of 56 years; her children, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Ray and Mary Shaw; grandchild, David (Stephanie) McGinness; her brother, Tennes (Janet) Rosengren; cousin, Arthur (Roxie) Rosengren.
Funeral service will be 2pm on Friday at Johnson Mortuary Chapel.
