James Roger Forbes passed away on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026, in Yuma, Arizona. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 4, 1935, to parents Joseph Roger Forbes and Thelma Leona Forbes nee Lund. Jim was raised in Granger, Utah by his mother and stepfather, LeRoy Smith. Joined the US Army in 1956, was Honorably Discharged to return home and marry Sharon Horrell, together they had 3 children, Steven, Corrinne and Dean. Later divorced, he married Geraline Stevens in 1979, where he gained two more daughters, Debbie and Stacy.
Jim made his living driving truck; he was a proud member of the Teamsters Union. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. In retirement he and Geri moved to Yuma, Arizona where they enjoyed golf and traveling with friends in their 5th wheel.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather. Survived by his wife Geri, 3 children, 2 stepchildren and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
