Jim Steele, age 78 of Yuma, Arizona went into the loving arms of the Lord on Friday, October 28, 2011. He was born on April 9, 1933 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Jim proudly became a U.S. citizen 40 years ago. While in Calgary he did car racing. Jim and Margaret moved from Calgary to Washington State, where he enjoyed flying his airplanes and boating. While in Washington, he was a private pilot of his own plane. He retired from the Seattle School District then they moved to Yuma Arizona. He lived a very full life. He was a fireman, raced cars, loved boating, and riding his motorcycle. Jim could fix anything and was loved by all who knew him. We will miss his intelligence, wit, sense of humor and love for his family and friends.
He will be missed by his loving wife, Margaret, of 53 years; daughters, Linda (Larry) Mattson and Carol Mayfield; grandchildren, Brianne (Brennen) Mckay, Brian, Christopher Mattson; Ashley and Nygel Mayfield.
