February 14, 1939 – March 30, 2026
Jane Clare Norris, 87, passed away on March 30, 2026.
Born on February 14, 1939, in Montgomery, Indiana, Jane lived a life rooted in faith, service, family, and compassion. She lived a simple life, finding joy in the things that mattered most — her family, her faith, and the quiet beauty of everyday moments.
Jane dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a nurse. Known to many simply as “Mrs. Norris” at Yuma Regional Medical Center, she faithfully served her patients and community for 37 years before retiring. Nursing was more than a career for Jane — it was a calling, and she carried that same compassion into every part of her life.
Outside of her work, Jane found great joy in life’s simple pleasures and loved spending time at her mountain cabin in Overgaard. She loved to quilt and created many beautiful quilts that will remain treasured keepsakes for her family for generations to come. She also enjoyed reading, painting, and cross-stitching. Jane had a special love for roses and found some of her greatest happiness in the company of her grandchildren.
Her faith was an important part of her life. Jane was actively involved with St. Francis of Assisi Church and generously gave her time volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul, always finding ways to help and serve others.
Jane will be remembered for her caring heart, steady presence, gentle spirit, and the deep love she had for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of service, faith, and love that will continue to live on in those who knew and loved her.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Lee Norris, and her daughter, Cheryl Norris.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Lisa Reilly, Michael Norris, Lynda Norris, Mark Norris, Matt Norris, and Patrick Norris, as well as 15 cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Francis Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Jane’s honor.
Jane will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
