Jose, a native of Jalisco, Mexico, had resided in Yuma for most of his life. He had been retired for many years after working as a truck driver for produce companies in California. During his time as a truck driver, Jose received an award from the Teamsters Union.
Jose was preceded in death by his sons, Federico and Guillermo, and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Josefina, his daughter Rosa, and his sons Jose Manuel Jr. and Ramiro. Jose was a grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Yuma, AZ, at Johnson Mortuary, on May 12, 2025, between 9AM and 11AM, followed by burial services at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Services are open to the public.
