Kathy A Hemstreet

Kathy was born April 10th 1946 in Sarver, Pa. She was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Paul Stitt of Sarver, Pa. Also preceded in death by two sisters Donna Meyer and Joy Sigler.

Kathy was a real estate agent and in later life returned to school to get her Certified Nursing Assistant license at Arizona Western College. She was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Findlay, Ohio and relocated to Yuma, Az where she spent most of her life. Kathy was an amazing quilter and seamstress, she loved to read and she loved her grandchildren, she was an animal lover and adored her pets and her grand pets.

She is survived by two children:

Jennifer (61) & Dean Bennett (54) of Chandler AZ, Jason (48) & Amber (48) Hemstreet of Yuma, AZ

She is survived by five grand children, her only and very much loved granddaughter Eva Hemstreet (21) of Yuma, AZ, Grandson”s Troy (28) & Sasse (28) Hemstreet of Tucson, AZ,

Zachary Fornof (35) of Chino, Ca, Dawson Bennett ( 24) of Chandler, AZ, Matthew (29) & Sarah (27) Fornof of Moore, Oklahoma. She is also survived by two sisters, Sandy Donscecz (90) of Albrightsville, Pa, and Dale Anderson (85) of Butler, Pa. She is also survived by her best friend at the end of her life, her dog Marin. Lastly, an adopted grandson, Derack Yoder, 36 of Yuma , AZ

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Heart Association in Kathy’s name.

And on a personal note, we heard you mom, “no plastic flowers, ever.” You are always in our hearts and minds.
