Lucila Perez Sevilla, age 90, passed in peace in Yuma surrounded by her loving family on August 22, 2018. She was born in Carrillo Puerto, Nayarit on December 18, 1927 to Serafin and Isidira Perez. Lucila married Francisco Sanchez Sevilla in 1947 and they immigrated to the United States in 1968, where she dedicated her life to her husband and children. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, needle point and spending time with her family. Lucila was an exceptional cook and faithful Catholic.
Lucila is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandsons Octavio Meza III, Oscar Sevilla II and Moises Sevilla and brother, Gildardo Perez.
Lucila was a devoted and loving mother to Esther (Oscar) Noriega, Luis Sevilla, Oscar (Cruz) Sevilla, Rosa (Octavio) Meza, Abraham (Alma) Sevilla, Francisco (Josefina) Sevilla, Cleme (Luis) Ortega and Jesus (Silvia) Sevilla. Lucila was also the proud grandmother to 23 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday August 30 from 5 to 9 pm with rosary at 7 pm at Johnson Mortuary. Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday August 31 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission with burial to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
