Lucy was born on May 1, 1929 in New York City, and moved to California as a young child where her family operated a farm in Delano, California. After completing high school in Delano, she moved to Torrance, California were she later met her husband, Billy Whitford. They resided in Torrance before settling in Visalia where they lived for nearly 60 years before moving to El Centro, California and later to Yuma, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Kata Maricevich; sisters Josephine, Katherine, and Victoria; son Nicholas Whitford, and husband Billy Whitford. She is survived by her children Catherine Asman of Visalia and Billy (Sharon) Whitford of El Centro along with 5 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one nephew and 3 nieces.
Gravesite services will be held at Visalia Public Cemetery on Saturday, September 24th at 9:30 a.m.
