Luis Sr. was born in Wellton, Arizona to Jose and Aurelia Cardenas. Luis was one of 9 children.
He now joins his parents, brothers, Jose Jr., Tranquilino, Guillermo, Ambrosio and sisters Nellie Cardenas and Antonia Rogers.
Luis is survived by the love of his life, Rufina of 60 years; his children, Luis Jr. (Christina), Annalisa Ortega (Gary), Rudy Cardenas and Becki Meyers (Jim); grandchildren, Tara Rae Cardenas, Kayla Marie Fellows (Rendin), Luis Joseph Cardenas (Emily), Kyle, Tyler and Daniel Ortega, Taryn and J.J. Meyers; great-grandchildren, Rae and Elle Fellows.
Luis was a lifelong resident of Wellton, Arizona and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Services for Luis will be Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Johnson Mortuary with Viewing from 5 pm to 9 pm and Rosary at 7 pm.
Friday, April 5, 2024, Mass will be at 10:30 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by Burial at Wellton Cemetery at 11:30 am. There will be a Celebration of Luis's Life following burial at AUHS Cafeteria.
