Lydia A Sanchez

The family of Lydia Sanchez, who made the passage to heaven on August 13, 2021, will hold a memorial service in her honor on Saturday, December 18, from 1:00 to 4:00p.m. at the Yuma Civic Center Sunset Terrace.

Lydia Sanchez was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and good friend to all who met her. She retired many years ago after 18 years as a Greeter at the Yuma K-Mart. It is there that colleagues turned into life-long friends and customers became regular friendly faces. Lydia's welcoming smile became such a staple in town that she couldn’t go anywhere without getting stopped by someone wanting to say “hello” and catch up. Her reach had no bounds. She had a love for travel and would always share stories of running into her ‘KMart friends’ during her many adventures. Lydia's home was as warm and welcoming as her heart. It was always open to all for food, socializing, and laughter. She will be missed immensely by a great many.
