Maria Yadira Patch

Maria was born on July 26, 1975, to Luis and Herminia Montejano. She graduated from Cibola High School in 1993 and attended Arizona Western College where she met her partner, Christopher Patch. They fell in love and married on September 19, 1997, and decided to start a family of their own soon thereafter. A wonderful mother to her four children, whom she loved with all of her heart, Maria taught them by example to be loving, generous, and compassionate. Before her breast cancer diagnosis in 2016, Maria worked for Wells Fargo as a Branch Manager. She worked for several Yuma Wells Fargo branches for 20 years and held different positions.

Maria loved to surround herself with friends and family, which is where her light shone the most. She had an uncanny ability to talk to anyone and make them feel loved and at peace as she welcomed them with a radiant smile and open arms. Maria was loving to all and was faithful to God and the community. Her hobbies included hosting gatherings, solving puzzles, crocheting, listening to music, and spreading love and laughter. She radiated love and positivity and remained fearless even throughout her fight against cancer. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, relative, and friend. Blessed are those who knew her.

Maria’s spirit will always be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Christopher Patch; her son, Christopher Michael; her daughters, Leah, Caeli, Caitlyn; her foster sons, Dominic and Alex; her mother, brother, and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her father, Luis Montejano.
