

Marjorie Marie Dallabetta, 94, born in Flagstaff, Arizona, to Parley and Lottie Noble King, passed away on March 16, 2016, in Yuma, Arizona. "Marge" taught at Pecan Grove and Rolle Elementary Schools in Yuma before her retirement in 1982. After her retirement she volunteered for many years in the gift shop at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was loved by many children during her elementary school teaching career.
Marjorie met and married her husband, John Leo Dallabetta, during school at Arizona Teacher's College (now Northern Arizona University). John Leo was called to serve in the Coast Guard in San Francisco where their first child, John Anthony, was born. The couple returned to Flagstaff where John Leo completed his teaching degree. After college her family moved to Yuma where she raised her children. Her husband, a long time music teacher, died at age 41 in Europe while entertaining troops with his jazz group of Yuma High School students. After his death Marjorie returned to college to finish her teaching degree. She dedicated the rest of her life to her family, her elementary school children, and eventually service to Yuma Regional Medical Center and her church.
Marjorie was preceded in death by the love of her life, John Leo Dallabetta, daughter Theresa Anne Dallabetta, her parents, Lottie King Crandall, and Parley King. Also preceded in death were her sisters, Lorraine Isaacson, Nathele Bowers, and brother, Noble King. She is survived by her sons John Anthony Dallabetta (Margie), Patrick Michael Dallabetta (Pam), and daughter Christine Marie Dallabetta, as well as her brother Wayne Crandall, and sisters in law Patsy Brown, Elsie Steen, and Irene King. Marjorie has five grandchildren Kimberley Anne Austin (Glen, Flagstaff, AZ), Tamara Leigh Keller (Justin, Coppell, TX), John Grady Dallabetta (Amanda, Yuma, AZ), Dustin Jac Blackman (Tamworth, NH), and Analie Patton Rollins (Freedom, NH). She also has eleven great grandchildren Dain William, Caden Patrick, and Abigail Marie Austin of Flagstaff, John William and Robert Anthony Dallabetta of Yuma, Talyn William Blackman, Teigen Michael Milligan, and Morgan Gabriel Hodge of New Hampshire, and Logan Martin, Brody Michael, and Cooper Robert Keller of Coppell, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: John Dallabetta, Patrick Dallabetta, John Grady Dallabetta, Glen Austin, Dain Austin, Russell Bowers, and Bryan Isaacson.
Funeral services will be held at the Second Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4300 W. 16th St., Yuma, Arizona on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at 11:00 am with internment to follow at Desert Lawn Cemetery.
