Martha was a friend, a strong Christian woman, eager to provide her opinion, was often outspoken, generous with her hugs. She rode with me to a Christian Women's retreat in Prescott and we shared many thoughts and secrets. She was part of the Praise Team at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church and eagerly invited children to join her on the stage. It mattered not that the child could not sing the words or had no rhythmic movements. She just felt she needed to encourage them to participate in this part of the worship service. What started out as one child has now swelled into 4 or 5 children who sing, move, participate in worshipping the God she loved. I will always cherish my limited memories of Martha and only wish I had known her longer. You are blessed to have had a strong Christian Mother in your lives.
