Nelda Maxine Sellers

Nelda attended school until she met and married Waymon Sellers at the age of sixteen. They had three children and lived a long and loving life together.

She was active in the Junior League as a mother and enjoyed bowling with many of her close friends. She continuously spoke to and met with these same friends for lunch until recently. Nelda loved taking care of her family throughout her life. You would always know where she stood when you visited with her. She loved nice cars, diamonds and especially shopping on QVC (for lots and lots of clothes, shoes and purses.) At night she would go to the casinos and gamble. Nelda always had a complete houseful of plants and flowers to keep her busy during the day. Her life was enriched every time she saw her great grandchildren "the monkeys."

Nelda is survived by her son Rick (Corinne) Sellers. Her granddaughters: Samantha (Harold) Schmidgall, Chantal Sellers, Michelle (Scott) Fox and Nicole Sellers (all of Yuma.) Her sister-in-law Ida Joe Rutherford of Heber and her monkeys: Tinley, Aiden and Ethen Schmidgall and Mickey and Makenzie Fox.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Mildred Rutherford, brothers Charles and Tommy Rutherford, husband Waymon Sellers, sons Tim and Stevie Sellers and her great granddaughter Kalia Schmidgall.

Services will be 1:00 pm on Thursday at Johnson's Mortuary officiated by Gary Pasquinelli. A reception will follow at The Yuma Golf and Country Club.
