

Norman Earl Baron, 81, was born June 23, 1944, in Newberg, Oregon, and passed away at his home peacefully on June 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife, Miriam, and family. A beloved husband, father and a grandfather, Norman will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by his loved ones and all who knew him.
Norman Baron was a vascular and a general surgeon, who served the community that he loved for 40 years, the Imperial Valley, California. He was also a pilot owning a few planes and a hot air balloon. He is also a published author; he wrote a book dedicated to his granddaughter.
Throughout his life, Dr. Baron carried himself with the steady purpose of a hard-working man with dignity, giving his time and energy to the responsibilities before him, and to the patients who depended on him. In his career, he served with diligence and dedication; he meant even more to those he helped. He often volunteered his services to several medical missions, locally and in several other countries.
Dr. Baron is survived by his wife, Miriam Baron, his family: Meim and Ryan Fisher, Maya and Colton Fisher, Dante and Mildrima Lim, Maju and Chalita Tepsing-Lim, Stan and Cheryl Baron, Dan and Carol Baron, and other family members.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary & Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 South 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364, on June 26, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
A Religious Ceremony will be held at Johnson Mortuary & Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 South 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364, on June 27, 2026, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
A Committal Service will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 South 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364, on June 27, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am.
