Odessa Alma Reiner was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma on February 13th, 1919. She passed away September 21st in Winter Haven California at the age of 99. Odessa is preceded in death by her parents Lena Mae (Cason) Reiner and Edward Lee Reiner, her grandmother Mary Cason (who raised Odessa and her sister upon their mother's passing at the age of 29), sister Altie B. Reiner.
Odessa, her father and sister moved from Stanton Texas to Winter Haven California upon the death of her beloved grandmother in 1947. Edward Lee Reiner passed away in 1978. Odessa never married but became the caretaker of her Sister Judy (Altie) when she lost her vision in the 80's until Judy passed away in 2004.
Odessa had a very big heart, a great love for all animals and always had pets. Her beloved dogs Hobo and Henry, two of many, were her last canine companions. Pretty Bird (a black bird that had fallen out of the nest in her yard that she raised from a baby and taught it to speak) was with her to the end.
Odessa and her sister were painters (beautiful landscapes) and ceramics as well as jewelry designers, having a small shop out of their home for a short time.
Odessa is survived by many first cousins having out-lived most of her immediate family. Rosa Wall, also of Winter Haven Ca. was a very dear close friend and like a daughter to her. First cousin, Terry Willis, of Glenn Heights, Texas.
