Bessie Patricia Illingworth, 65, known to her family and friends as "Pat", died peacefully in her sleep August 11, 2011. Born April 2, 1946 in Artesia, New Mexico, Pat worked in the oil and gas industry in Texas until she came to visit her family in Yuma in 1980 and never left. Pat was an outgoing, loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was always the center of attention with her funny stories and silly behavior. She was loved by everyone she met.
Pat is survived by her son, Grant Word from Portland, OR and grandchildren Jackson and Maddie; daughter, Kristine Word from Oakland, CA; brother, Arlin (Sharon) Dulin; sisters, Jeanette (Floyd) Dunn, Sue Ferguson, Ann Combs, many nieces and nephews and her partner Dick Best.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, JB Dulin and Christine Jaynes; sisters, Billie Dallman, and Dolores Smith and brothers, Jimmy and Bobby Dulin.
Memorial Services will be Sunday August 14, 2011, at 3:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel (old Kammann Mortuary), 795 W. 28th Street, Yuma, Arizona 85364.
