Born on March 23, 1937, in Yuma, Arizona, Patricia brought warmth, strength, and love to everyone who knew her throughout her long and beautiful life.
For more than 20 years, Patricia was a dedicated teacher at CW McGraw Elementary School helping ESL students find their voices and succeed. Beyond the classroom, Patricia was an exceptionally talented seamstress and embroiderer, crafting beautiful, custom clothing for clients and friends, weaving love into every single stitch.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Dunn (husband Stephen) and Cathy Baker (husband Reggie). She was the proud grandmother of Wm. Chris Yoakum (wife Aretha), Jacob D. Smith (wife Alexandra), and Evan C. Morris. She is also survived by her sister, Cush Avila, and brother-in-law, Luis Avila.
Patricia is now reunited in peace with her beloved sons, Isaac Joseph and Ralph Paul, and her sister, Barbara Anderson, who preceded her in death.
Patricia’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she surrounded them with unconditional love, encouragement and devotion. The memories they shared and the love she gave so freely will remain with them always.
A private family service celebrating Patricia’s life will be held in March 2027 during the week of what would have been her 90th birthday.]
