JoAnn McBride

March 13, 2014

My name is JoAnn McBride. My mother Arcelia (Aguilar) Herrera was my Aunt Rebecca's sister. I just want to say I love and will miss her. I did not know when I saw her last August it would be the last time I would see her in this life. I am forever grateful that I was able to give her a hug and tell her "I love you Auntie.." Although, as we grew up we did not see her as often as we should have. I know I can speak for my brothers in saying, how many memories our lives our filled with. Our summers as kids always included a visit to my Aunt and Uncle. We always had wonderful times, wonderful food. We always looked forward to their visit to us as well. My condolences to all the family, I hope their grief will be filled with happy stories and memories. God Bless and love to all of you. PS: No one could roll tacos as fast and perfect as my Aunt.

I regret not being able to attend her services, but Rebecca will always be remembered as a wonderful, dignified lady who will always be in our hearts. She was one of my mother Rosa's best and dear cousin and friend growing up and into later life. I am sure they are now together. We will forever keep her in our prayers together with Ray Sr. and other members of the wonderful family she raised. Cousin Richard and Rose Marie Serrano and daughters.

To the entire Chretin family and extended loved ones, our heartfelt condolences go out to everyone from the Flores Family children and grandchildren of the late Mary Alice Flores and Roman Flores. I have very fond memories of my godmother of confirmation who also confirmed my sister Teresa. Mrs. Chretin and her husband Raymond would visit my grandparents often and bring their youngest daughter, Rose Marie along when were young children. It was then, I got to know Mrs. Chretin and see what a gentle and kind woman she was. These memories of visits that would last for hours conversing about life in general, will last a lifetime. To my cousins, (Richey's), uncle Robert and aunt Linda and children; sweet cousin Rose Marie, Helen Angulo and family, Jimmy and James Chretin and Mr. Raymond Chretin, we love you and our prayers are going out to the entire family for peace and comfort during this sorrowful time. As a native Yuman, our families go way back. In fact my father Ricardo Flores, Sr., served as ring bearer in Rebecca and Raymond Chretin's wedding when he was six years old. Our roots go deep in this family as my children (Chavez') are third cousins to Rose Marie's children and second cousins to Linda's children. May this blessed woman be at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ. Mrs. Chretin (Rebecca), you will remain in the hearts of many, and we will hold on to all the precious memories you have made for us. God bless you and all your family. May your soul rest in peace, and May Jesus' face shine upon you! "We are family!" Let us pray for each other, blessings and love to all, Mary Frances Flores
