Reed Hardt Kempton, age 80, of Yuma Arizona passed away on Saturday March 30th, 2024.
Reed was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was very active with his woodworking crafts. As an avid gardener, Reed loved to be outdoors, whether it was golfing or gardening, he found it relaxing to "tinker" around with things. He found pleasure in watching the hummingbirds and listening to his classic country music.
Reed was very active with his Church and found pleasure in helping others when they were in need of assistance. He was a very giving man, a gentle giant, and his quick-witted humor always made us laugh and smile. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held April 11th, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4300 W 16th Street. Viewing will be held at 10am followed by Chapel services at 11am. Graveside will be at Johnson Mortuary Desert Lawn Memorial 1415 S 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ at 12pm. If sending flowers, please have them delivered to the LDS church prior to 10am on April 11th, 2024.
