

Robert Howard Cooper, 45, of Yuma, AZ passed away suddenly on April 1, 2017 in Yuma, AZ. He was born October 4, 1971 in Fort Worth TX, the son of Vicki Cooper and Bob Cooper. Robert was married September 7, 1992, in Spokane, WA.
Robert enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of 17. He served 20 years, stationed throughout the world until he finished his career in Yuma, AZ. Afterward, he continued working with the military as a Cyber Security Expert through AECOM.
Robert had a wide variety of interests. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was a founding member of the Yuma 5th Gen car club. He never forgot his Texas roots, being a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Robert also loved all types of movies, including science fiction. He was Star Wars and Star Trek fan, attended ComicCon frequently, and recently hosted his own ComicCon panel. Robert was a friend to all and will be deeply missed.
Robert is survived by his wife of 25 years, Paula Marie Cooper and by his two children, Amanda Nicole Cooper, 20, and Robert William Cooper, 19. He is also survived by his mother, Vicki Cooper, step-mother, Jane Rogers, father, Bob Cooper, step-mother, Teresa Cooper, brothers Craig and Chris Cooper, mother-in-law, Patricia Monczki, sister-in-law, Michelle Learned, brother-in-law, Chris Learned and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 6th, at 3pm, at the Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S 1st Ave, Yuma, Arizona 85364. A private visitation will be held Wednesday evening at 6pm for family and close friends.
