Bob was raised in Tinley Park, IL, where he was a proud Chicago Bears fan. After graduating from Victor J. Andrew High School, Bob bravely served our country as a Marine in the Persian Gulf War. As an honored citizen of the United States, Bob decided to dedicate his life to serving America as a U.S. Border Patrol agent for the past seven years.
Bob's father, Michael D. Nelson, precedes him in death. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Nelson; sisters, Suzanne (Jeff) Czarnecki and Jessica Ulman, and his very special nephew, Marley. Bob was a dedicated and loyal friend to many. He leaves behind an amazing group of friends who loved him dearly including his favorite buddy Rusty the dog. A wake will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:30 P.M. at Funeraria del Angel Chapel.
