Ronald Frank Matthews

He was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. After graduating High School Ron enlisted in the US Marine Corps where he served four years stationed in Yuma, Arizona. While serving Ron embraced the values and work ethic of honor, courage, and commitment to take care of the people around him by working hard, having a steady presence, being reliable, and always faced challenges with calm strength.While in Yuma Ron attended and graduated from Arizona Western College. Ron had a successful career in accounting across many industries from retail to agriculture and healthcare.

Ron met his first wife, Brenda Molina. They were married for 18 years and had two children, Ronald Jr. and Jennifer.

In 1987, Ron married Kathy, his partner of 38 years and the love of his life. Together they built a life filled with adventure and simple joys—motorcycle rides through many states, cheering at drag races, tending to their garden, and gathering with family. Their bond was one of deep companionship and unwavering support.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Kathy, children; Ronald Matthews Jr. (Danette), Jennifer Stanton (Mike), Danielle Reese (Chris) and Todd Reasy (Kayla).He is survived by 11 grandchildren; Brandon, Michael, Drake, Bella, Blake, Kyle, Johnathan, Cassidy, Max, Emma and Valley. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. Ron is preceded in death by his parents.

A Private service for immediate family will be held on January 16, 2025. Johnsons Mortuary and Desert Lawn Memorial Park is handling the arrangements.
