Rosa McMorris

Rosa Lorenza McMorris, a devoted Catholic and beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on Thursday, 30-October-2025 at the age of 91. Born on 07-July-1934, she was one of ten children of Donato and Maria Susana Mesa.

Rosa married the love of her life, Thomas Arnold McMorris (deceased), with whom she shared a lifetime of faith, hard work, and devotion to family. Together they raised six children: Thomas Arnold McMorris (Audrey), Irma Bate (Dennis), Kathleen Renshaw, Susie Maria O’Brien (Chris), Jon McMorris, and Cynthia McAdams (Michael). She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Throughout her life, Rosa was admired for her tireless work ethic and generous heart. She worked in retail fashion, where she modeled on occasion and was often sought out for her fashion savvy, clothing manufacturing, and later in the public school and hospital cafeteria service industry, where her kindness and care touched many lives.

Rosa’s faith guided her every step—her rosary often in hand, her spirit steadfast in prayer, and her love for her church unwavering. She will be remembered for her warmth, humility, and the strength of her devotion to both God and family.

Rosa leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and resilience that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, 03-December-2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Kammann Mortuary, located at 795 W 28th St, Yuma, AZ. During the visitation, a prayer will be given at 7:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Thursday, 04-December-2025 followed by interment at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
