Born on April 10, 1946 in Phoenix, AZ, Annie lived most of her adult life in Yuma, AZ and worked as a Yuma County Deputy Constable and in Adult Probation. She was known for her quick wit, sharp tongue, and colorful language. She loved God, was an avid reader, and was an ardent supporter of law enforcement and veterans. She was happiest when cruising on her Harley-Davidson, and though she was known for being tough as nails, she was equally known for her huge heart. She loved her kids, grandbabies, and great-grandbabies to pieces and leaves behind family, friends, and a community that will miss her dearly.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband, John “JJ” Carr, and is survived by her three children Les (Audra) Evans, DeeAnn “Dede” (Norman) Friend, and Destry (Justin) Siegfried; eight grandchildren Tyson Evans, Madyson “Maddy” Evans, Heidi Miller-Mielke, Cori Miller-Nye, Samantha Miller, Zackery Friend, Ryleigh Siegfried, Brody Siegfried, and six great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service is planned; date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project: support.woundedwarriorproject.org
