Sammy Ybarra

Born to Francisco A. Ybarra and Rosa Ybarra on March 24th, 1959, and brother to a large and loving family, Samuel was the loving husband to Rosemary Ybarra and father to Samuel E. Ybarra and Joseph A. Ybarra. In addition to his sons, Samuel was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews, whom he enjoyed spending time with.

Samuel worked in several job throughout his career, typically for companies and in roles which helped those with special needs as well as the elderly, but he may be most known for his time working for the Yuma Union High School District and showing his pride of being a Yuma Criminal.

To say Samuel was a social butterfly would be an understatement. He enjoyed spending his days in retirement grabbing breakfast with family and friends, visiting loved ones, and helping to cook for or support many worthy causes.

A Memorial Service will be held for Sammy at Funeraria Del Angel Kammann (795 W 28th St, Yuma, AZ) on Monday 12/01/2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A church mass will also be held Tuesday 12/02/2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Eagles Lodge (225 S 1st Ave., Yuma, AZ).

Pallbearers include Gilbert Vasquez, Taco Ybarra, Paul Ybarra, Gabby Ybarra, Danny Munoz, Eddie Davila, Lorenzo Duran Sr., and Martin Ruby. Honorary Pallbearers include Robert Ybarra, Albert Valenzuela, Joe Robinson, Lorenzo Duran Jr., Anthony Ybarra, Gib Rollier, and Jimmy Rico.
