Seferino Frank Fregozo

March 3, 1957 - September 14, 2026

Seferino ‘Linito’ Frank Fregozo passed away in Yuma, Az on September 14th, at the age of 69.

He was a beloved husband, father, tata, great tata, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Fregozo, and his five children Michael (Melissa), Daniel (Wanda), Nicholas, Eric (Haley), and Briana as well as his sisters Rhonda, Sandra, Gina and brother Jaime. His family continued to grow through his grandchildren: Larissa, Damon, Zhaida, Emma, Adrien, Gabriela, Bella, Ivy, Paisley and Blaire as well as 5 great grandchildren.

He was a proud alumnus of Yuma High School, and he would proudly call himself a “Yuma Criminal.” Yuma was more than the place where he lived; it was a part of who he was. He made his life, his memories, and his family here, and he carried that hometown pride with him wherever he went.

He was a hardworking man. He spent many years working long, demanding days working in construction, primarily working with concrete. He later retired after working in EVS at Quechan Casino.

He showed his children he loved them by doing things for them and being there for them. He would make hearty breakfasts in the shape of smiley faces with a side of a fresh cut rose. He was active in their school events and made an effort to show up for the moments that mattered. He played with his boys, sharing the kind of simple, everyday moments that children remember long after they have grown up. He would take his children trick-or-treating in their bright red wagon, pulling them along as they went from house to house, and picking mulberries together on the way home from school.

He was also a social man who loved connecting with others. He enjoyed talking with people, sharing stories, laughing, and being part of the lives of those around him. He had a natural love for people and for the connections that came from simply spending time together.

He also enjoyed the simple pleasures that made him happy. He loved listening to his oldies music and watching his old westerns. Those familiar songs and movies were part of the rhythm of his life and are now part of the memories his family will carry with them.

When we think about him, we will remember a man who worked hard with his hands, but loved even harder with his heart. We will remember the father who showed his love not always through words, but through what he did.

Those small acts were never really small.

They were his way of saying, “I love you.”

A life is not measured only by the years someone lived or the jobs they held. It is measured by the people they loved, the lives they touched, and the memories they left behind.

Linito left many.

He was a hardworking man, a proud Yuma native, a social soul, an attentive father, and a loving husband and grandfather. Most importantly, he was someone who showed his love by being there.

Although we wish we had more time with him, we can be grateful for the time we did have, the breakfasts, the school events, the games, the trick-or-treating, the mulberries, the music, the westerns, the conversations, the laughter, and all the ordinary moments that became extraordinary because he was there.

Today, we say goodbye to Seferino “Linito” Frank Fregozo.

We will miss his voice.

We will miss his stories.

We will miss his presence.

And we will miss the many little ways he showed us that he loved us.
