I'm sorry to hear about Sharon's passing. I knew her when we were in High school and in church where our families attended in 1962 in Ohio; Even back then, she had a lot of friends and was surrounded by a large, wonderful group of Christian teenagers. We were also active in the Youth For Christ organization. I can still see her playing the organ at church and quoting Bible verses. She loved the Bible and had a great knowledge of Bible teachings.

My condolences to her family.

Tommy, Beth, Joel and all the loving Givens family.....sweet sweet memories of your dear Mom. Sharon just exuded love and joy and sincerity. She could love on you as no one else were "Sharonized' after being around her. I learned much from watching her as a wife , mother, daughter and most often as a child of Our King. You will be mentored from her for the rest of your lives as her legacy lives on in each of you. You will see more as time passes and smile and say, 'Thanks Mom' as you become more aware of her continued influence in your lives. These are the joys that will come from your present sorrow. I know these things as they have been true in my life since my own Mother's death. Loving hugs and shared tears...Dottie and Gary Urke

Beth, Tommy, Joel, Our deepest sympathy at this loss of your Mom. The impact of your parents will remain on our lives always. Truly they lived and were what a real Christian exemplery life is with humility and grace to us. Health issues prevented our attending the service but our prayers remain with all of you. Just saw Sharon at VBS in Santa Clarita last month. As saddened as I am at her homegoing, I am also joyful that she is in the presence of her wonderful Lord and Savior. I know her family will miss her enormously as will all who knew her. Love to you all...

So many lives were touched and blessed by both Tom & Sharon. They truly magnified The Lord and multiplied Christ Followers. They will be missed and our hearts grieve along with the Givens Family and their extended family. Chaplain Ron. Psalm 116:15

Sharon was a Godly example of what it means to Glorify God and honor Him through faithfulness, grace and unconditional love. She has made such an impact on the lives of others and gave all glory to God in the process. Thank you Lord for Sharon and the impact she has made on my life.

Tom and Sharon were among our closest friends since their days at Bethany Church in Long Beach, Ca. Our kids grew up together. It's very hard to lose such treasured friends, but God knows best and we'll meet again in heaven.
