Spencer Allen Ross

Spencer Allen Ross, 59, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 in Yuma, AZ of heart failure. He was born October 8, 1955 in Chamberlain, South Dakota. Spencer attended a trade school to become an automotive mechanic. Before his disability in 2003, he was employed with Quechan Tribe as a Mechanic. Spencer was a member of the Catholic Church. He had a passion for motorcycles and racing cars. Spencer was a loving husband, father, and brother, who truly enjoyed his family and raising his children. Spencer is survived by his wife, Debra Ross of Yuma; sons, Bruce McCain of Buckeye, AZ, Christopher McCain of Yuma, AZ, Virgil Ross of Sioux City, Iowa; foster son, Arturo Gastelum of Yuma, AZ; brothers, Ken Ross of Hot Springs, SD and Lloyd Ross of Ft. Thompson, SD; numerous grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Spencer was preceded in death by his birth parents, Silas and Francis Ross; foster parents, Virgil and Irene Sherwood; foster brother, Dick Sherwood; and 6 other siblings.A funeral service will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Kammann Chapel, 795 W 28th Street, Yuma, AZ 85364. Cremation service will follow.
