Our dear friend Chapis, I know we distance ourselves from each other when we moved to New Mexico but you were a Good friend to David and me, you always helped us and loved us and Yeilanny. I still have all your gifts for her and your picture in my room. I'm so sorry that we couldn't go to the funeral but I was grieving the lost of my baby due to miscarriage..I know you are looking after my baby in heaven. We love you and I feel so bad that we distance ourselves but we always think about the good memories. Yeida , David

The last time I saw her and kissed her goodbye...
It was at bus depot in Phoenix, it was a long wait (4 hours or more) for the bus to Yuma. The waiting room was full, as it probably it always is. Susana was recovering from hip surgery, so she was using a walker.  Being the kind person that she was she walked up and down that waiting room talking and smiling to all the people there and making them talk and smile in the process. A a blind man was left there and asked if we could guide him to his bus when the time came. Susana sat there next to him to hear his life story and they had a good talk while waiting. The blind man asked if we could lead him to the store shop there to get something to eat. Susana walked with him there and described everything there, all the different sandwiches, fruits and drinks etc. there.  After the man made his choice, nor surprisingly to me, she ended up paying for the man's meal.
This was a woman with a kind heart and I am proud to say I was her partner for 19 years that went too fast.. and I miss her dearly.

Love never dies

Growing up, my mom was my best friend. My biggest fan. I never left her side. Our relationship ended complicated. As my mom and i had the same attitude we often bumped heads. but i loved her exactly how she was. My mom was known to have a big heart. She was a strong willed women who told you exactly how she felt. She loved to help everyone around her & took in who needed be. She loved to cook and bake. She was always trying to make meals for the people around her. I think it was her way of comforting people. She had so many friends that she considered family. She had so much love to give. Her time here was short, but it was sweet. I’ll never understand why God calls people to heaven. Of course i wish i had just a couple more weeks, hours, days, minutes with her.. I’ll miss her tremendously.  As for my son, she loved him dearly. I know she’ll
watch over him. She will forever be in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
