Sylvia Lavaye Ince

Graveside services will be held Monday May 22, 2023. 3:30 pm at Pleasant View Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held from 4pm-6pm at The Hog Capitol Building on N. Main St. Kewanee.

She was born September 14, 1948 in Kewanee, IL. Daughter of Reggie and Gertrude L. (Davis) Ham. She married Ernest Eugene Ince November 16, 1968 in Burlington, IA. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Kaye Lindbeck, nephew Rob Lindbeck, grandson David Chasteen.

She is survived by her brother Paul (Robin) Ham, daughters, Danielle Ince and fiancè Robert Hulett Sr, Heather (Mike) Ashmead, a son, Brent (Nicole) Ince. Grandchildren Darcy, Dustin and Dawn Chasteen, Ashley and Zackery Dailey, Taylor and Nickolas Wakeen, Austin, Alyssa, and Victoria Ince, 18 great grandchildren. 1 niece, and 5 nephews.

She attended Kewanee schools graduating in 1966. She attended Black Hawk College earning a Associates degree in Business Services. Working for Walmart then Good's Furniture before retiring in 2004

She enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking. She loved spending time with her family. She also loved living in Arizona.
