She was born in Delta, Utah on May 28, 1950, to Mr. Ansel Thomas and Mrs. Dorothy Della Hall. She was very proud to be their youngest daughter. Her brothers and sisters were her best friends throughout her life. They all spoiled her from a young age and always treated her with a plethora of kindness.
Vicky was popular in High School and had many friends. There, she participated in modeling club and barrel racing. Vicky attended Ricks college and BYU after High School.
She married Steve Shoopman on June 18, 1971, in Yuma, Arizona. They were married for 13 years and had 5 children together. After divorcing, Vicky and the kids relocated to Orem Utah until 1991. They then moved to Flagstaff Arizona where she worked in the hotel business until 2002. She finally decided to come home to Yuma to be around her family and retire.
Vicky was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served as a primary chorister, primary teacher, young women's activity director, Relief Society teacher and Visiting teacher.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ansel Thomas Hall and Dorothy Della Hall, her brother A. Gary Hall, her sister Lora Lee Hall, her brother Luane Mark Hall, her son in law Melbourne Wade Archibald, brothers in law Jim Westover and John Emery, sisters in law Beverly Hall, and Alice Hall Draper.
She is survived by her bothers Max (Lynna) Hall, Bennie Hall, sisters DeAnn Hall Westover, and Cheree Dawn Hall Emery. She is also survived by her son Scott Shoopman (Melanie), her daughter Stephanie Archibald (Jeff Rooze), son Shane Shoopman (Stephanie), daughter Shami Caldwell (Jeremy), son Sterling Shoopman (Brittney), and 18 beautiful grandchildren who she loved the most in the whole world.
Funeral services will be held at the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints located at 8451 E 36th St Yuma AZ. 85365 on Saturday January 13, 2024. A viewing will be held at 9 AM at the same location with a funeral to follow at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Johnson, Mortuary and Desert Lawn Memorial Park, where she will be surrounded by her family that have gone before.
