Victoria Marie Gross

She was born on June 17,1950 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota to Shirley Ione Harriet Huseby Martin and Dewey Warren Martin at 12:04 p.m. weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces and they resided in Driscoll, North Dakota.

At around the age of 15 she moved and became a resident of Yuma and graduated Kofa High School in 1968. After becoming a mother, she worked as a server, telephone operator, secretary at YPG, floral designer at Thunderbird Nursery, sales for the family business Yuma Printing, and store manager of a dance wear shop before getting her real estate license where she was part of the team at Town & Country Realty. Furthering her education she then excelled at the role of Medical Staff Coordinator for Yuma Regional Medical Center where she served for 20 years. She served on boards in the community and took great pride in every accomplishment and challenge.

She enjoyed her travels to Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, New York, Washington DC, and Puerto Vallarta, but her favorite place was in the mountains of the Dominican Republic. Collecting meaningful pieces over the years that she proudly displayed in her home along with the Antiques she procured. She was fiercely independent and devout, attending services at Yuma Lutheran Church and Morningside Baptist until she became disabled and then worshiped from home with TV ministry.

Her legacy of perseverance and learning will be carried by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will forever be a testament to the power of an indomitable spirit enthused with resilience. She will be forever missed.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Loran Martin of Yuma, Arizona. She is survived by her children Cherie Husmann & Shawn Gross both of Yuma, Arizona and six grandchildren, Victoria Louden of Yuma, Arizona, Christian & Tyler Louden both of Joplin, Missouri, Wyatt, Morgan, & Jane Gross all of Yuma, Arizona and Siblings Kim Padgett of Wickenburg, Arizona, Cindy Turrentine of Yuma, Arizona, Truman & Vida Wood of Mesa, Arizona, Don & Della Bushner of Vail, Arizona, Tony Nelson of Shoreline, Washington.
