He was born on November 21, 1923, in Hazelton, Iowa, he was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys D. Wells; sons, Weldon Wells and Brian Edward Wells; daughter, Shirley Krueger; brother, Freddy Wells; sister, Velma Pasfogal; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Viola Wells; daughter, Carol Steffen; brother, Herald Wells and his sisters, Eulalia Nodruft and Elvonne Oveson.
Burial will be held in Durant Cemetery in Durant, Iowa. Services will be handled by Bentley Funeral Home in Durant. Johnson Mortuary is handling local arrangements
