Hey Neil Young no need to search for a "Heart of Gold". it's right here with this great man Mr. B. And lets all add an order of Mr. G's to  enhance that heart of gold. You all know it's the right thing to do.

Mr. B was the one person who changed my life and helped me be the person I am today. It was his unconditional kindness and the encouraging words he shared with me every day at every class. He made me believe that I was a person of value and could become anything I chose to be.  Thank you Mr. B for believing in me and helping me realize my life had purpose. I will never forget you and will have a special place in my heart for this great man my entire life.

I was in Drama Club and was president for 2 years. (Class of '61) We all loved Mr Brennan.  He had a quiet, dry sense of humor.  We were so happy that he attended our 50th reunion.  He was a wonderful teacher.  Speaking as a teacher we need more Mr. Brennans. For those of us who had the good fortune to be in his class his memory will remain in our hearts.

A graduate of YUHS in '61 I never had Mr. Brennan but was very aware of him because of my brother and others that did take his courses. He was loved by those that had the good fortune of having him as a teacher.  His contributions will live on through his many students.   My condoolences go out to his wife and family.  May God bless you all and may the Conforter be with you during this difficult time.

Mr. Brennan graced our 50th class reunion last October. His presence made it so much more special. He was a delightful man with a puckish sense of humor and a deep love of his craft. He managed to transmit these things to his students, and, for me, made my high school years some of the best years of my life. I can only imagine what play he has chosen to direct for the angels in heaven.

Mr. Brennan was an excellent teacher in school and out. I had him for drama and t-prod 1978-1982. Without his input, my life would have taken a very different route. Thank you Mr. Brennan for those conversations! Sorry I never got a chance to say it in person.

What a great guy Bill Brennan was.... Had him as my Speech and Drama teacher, he made learning fun and I have used the skills he taught throughout my life.  He was a wonderful human being in and out of the classroom... my greatest sympathies to the family... we were so fortunate that he attended our 50th class reunion last year... RIP Mr. B.

Heartfelt condolences to Pearl and the family.

A very sad time for all those who were blessed to have known Mr. Brennan.  He was a wonderful human being, a giant among educators, a good-natured person who smiled a lot and was respected by every one of his students.  When work needed to be done all he had to do was ask and we all did our part to make it happen.  Mr. Brennan's Drama and Stagecrafts classes were an unforgettable part of my Yuma High experience.  It was a real honor doing lighting for his theater productions.  Job very well done Mr. B.  Rest in peace my friend and thank you for some wonderful memories, I'll be thinking of you and the family in prayer.

What a sad lose.  Prayers to the family.  Thinking of him brings a smile to many.

 I regret I couldn't attend service for Mr. B yesterday. He was one of my all-time favorite teachers, and was a huge help to me during my career at AWC.  He as a kind, patient, gentle soul.  I'm among the many who sorrw for his passing but celebrate his life.

Mr Brennen brought the history of arts to life in his teaching in Humanities class. I loved how he could bring out the best in each student. He will truly be missed.

Condolences to the family.  I will always rember Mr. Brennan as a friend and teacher. He wanted all of us to do well in school and life.  What a loss for his family and us who knew him.

So sad to hear of Mr. Brennan's passing. He was a very fond memory of my High School years. My prayers will be with all of your family in the days and weeks to come. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was exactly the kind of teacher everyone prays they get and seldom do.  He was a great mentor and encourager.  Tim S., Cindy H., and I were in the Sr Class Play.  It was great fun.  He also gave me the courage to do my first formal speech competition.  Saw him at the last class reunion and was totally gobsmacked that he remembered me.  The world has lost an absolute peach of a man.  His legacy lives on in all of us who were so deeply touched by him.

Condolences to his family.  A great person and teacher is gone.  But those us fortunate to have had him for a teacher will forever be grateful to him.

My sympathies, love and prayers go out to Mrs. B and the rest of the family.

What an incredible man.  I did not know William, but after reading his obituary, I wish I had.  His family and Yuma has suffered a great loss and my prayers go out to all who knew and loved him.

Mr, Brennan was a pleasure to be around,even when Drysdale was close by,we always talked at his coffee club,Ray seemed to be the oppisite of Mr. Brennan,and I guess that was his oppesite, Mr Brennan didn"t teach spelling as you can tell,God bless

I have a list of people framed in a picture on my office wall. The title is "Most Important People Who Positively Influenced My Life". Mr.Brennan is one of the 8 teachers on that list. I had the most creative, fun times in his classes at YHS. He had a great sense of humor and connected in ways that helped me weather tough times in my high school days. He was an honest soul with a big heart and as a teacher you could always count on him to help. My condolences to family and friends. In the arms of the angels...

Mr. Brennan:  what an inspiration you were to all of us in drama...we loved the plays, your classes, your sense of humor, and knowing you truly cared about each and every one of us,  High school in the 50s was a terrific experience, made much better by teachers like Bill Brennan.  He was a wonderful man, and one of a kind.  He will be missed.  Pearl, our thoughts are with you.

Mr B was one of my all time favorite teachers.  He let us kids hang out in his drama room.  He was a wonderful man and will be truly missed.

Mr. Brennan was my favorite teacher at YHS (Class of 65). My high school years weren't the best years of my life, but he made them better. What fun we had putting on plays.... especially all those evening rehearsals! He was always kind and fair. I remember talking to him at the start of each school year about his summer working for the railroad. It's hard to imagine how many lives he must have touched in a positive way through his teaching career. He'll always have a place in my heart.

I was lucky, I had Mr. Brennan as a teacher and a friend.  What a true gentleman he was.  I will never forget the time that he locked Eileen and I in the costume room below the stage in Snider...we missed our 6th period class.  At the time it wasn't too funny, but we were soon laughing about it and continue to do so today. He was a wonderful teacher and person. I will miss seeing him at breakfast at the "Train Car"...Pearl, Gary and I send our love.  Please know our thoughts and  prayers are with you. Love, Laura

Deepest condolences to all of Mr. Brennan's family, friends, students and co-workers. From the stories I have heard from others Mr. Brennan has indeed left a legacy that he can be very proud of. There are teachers and mentors in this world that touch their students and the people around them in a way that never is forgotten. Thank you Bill for being such a caring and inspiring teacher. Your love and spirit will live on in us long long after your passing. God Bless my friend and rest in peace. You deserve it. We will miss you.

I will always remember the Humanities Class that Mr. Brennan and Mr. Ochoa taught in the 1960s as the high point of my education.  A brilliant survey class taught by brilliant teachers.  Nor will I forget the deep humanity and kindness of Mr. Brennan.  He touched so many of our lives in positive, lasting ways.  My sincere condolences to his family.

The halls of YHS are quite a bit dimmer with the passing of this gifted teacher. I will always remember him playing with the remote controlled car in the Snider hallway.  My condolences to his family.

Mr. Brennan, you were one of my most favorite teacher, ever.  You made my first day of high school a lot less scary and every day after that you were always ready with a smile and a word of encouragement.  I'm going to miss hearing you say, Hi Zuhl!.  Thank you for the lessons you taught us all.  You will be greatly missed but your legacy lives on in every student you taught.

Mr. Brennan will always be one of my best high school memories...he made you think for yourself.  Condolences to the family.  May you find joy and peace knowing that such a wonderful man touched so many lives and encouraged so many youths to excel beyond their wildest expectations.
