Yolanda's life can be summarized by 4 F's: family, faith, friends, and 49ners. In every profession Yolanda had, whether it was a paraprofessional for students with special needs, a school bus driver, or a caregiver for the elderly, she lived to serve others. She continued that service through her faith, as a devoted Catholic; teaching the youth in Sunday School how Jesus washed their sins away.
Her legacy of selflessness, devotion, and kindness will continue in the lives of all who knew her, especially her grandchildren, who were her world. Yolanda has many names she was referred to throughout her life: daughter, sister, mother, friend; but the name she was fondest of, that gave her the greatest joy, was grandma. She was present in their lives, even from a far-texting them good morning daily and saying that she loved them.
She is survived by her partner Jimmy Rodriguez, children Simon and Crystal, son-in-law Emmanuel Garcia and daughter-in-law Maria Corea; grandchildren Eliana, Angel, Deliah, Milo, Ody, Natani, Kyanna, Adlih; parents William and Hilaria Benavides also Darlene and Chabelo Gutierrez, siblings Nellie, William Jr., Xochitl, Lorena, and Joanna and wide circle of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Simon and sisters Carmen, Edith, and Lupe.
