Lou was a patriot and proudly served our country in the United States Army. After serving in the military, he worked for Bowne & Co. in New York as a printer/typesetter. After many years of commuting, he retired and enjoyed life as a grandpa. Being a grandpa was probably a role he enjoyed the most. Having only granddaughters, dance recitals, tea parties, and numerous games of Pretty Pretty Princess were now on his agenda. He shared in the joy of watching them grow over the years and was proud of all their achievements.
Anyone who knew Lou knew that he was a faithful and loyal husband to his beloved wife, Mary, and his family. They were married for over 60 years. His heart was broken when she passed on June 3, 2021, and we take comfort in knowing that they are no longer apart but are together eternally.
Lou was also pre-deceased by his parents Ciro and Filomena Guida. He is survived by his son Dr. Vincent Guida and his wife Susan, and his daughter Lori A. Springer and her husband Keith. He is also survived by his granddaughters Melissa Guida, Brittney Springer, Amanda Guida and Ashley Springer.
Lou will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest easy and fly with the angels. Till we meet again.
Services were private under the care of Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ.
