Jim Harris, a man who knew what he wanted out of life and went after it every day, passed away on January 11, 2021, at the age of 55.
There were many things Jim loved in life. Chief among them were Kraft Dinner, Hamburger Helper, and a rum and coke. His signature Kraft Dinner included extra butter and a touch of milk. The real secret was the portion of the (second) "sacrifice packet" of cheese to give it the perfect consistency - a delicacy in its rank.
Jim was a man who showed passion, commitment, and selfless love to those around him. It wasn't uncommon to see him sharing a meal and a few stories of similar experiences with someone less fortunate.
He was and forever is a man of selfless care; A man who would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He grew up knowing the value of having an ally and strived every day to be exactly that for those around him. He was a consistent source of support for those in his life.
Jim was a genuine, deeply caring, and incredibly loving husband, father, and friend. He made the lives of everyone around him better - even in his struggles. If you were lucky enough to know him, you know how he touched your heart and could bring tears of laughter at any given moment. His wonderful sense of humour was legendary.
Above all, Jim wanted to be a consistent pillar of strength for others, which led to him keeping his health challenges private. His family, friends, and colleagues are devastated by his passing. We are confident he's gone to rest now, and we will continue to remember him for the remarkable man he was. He will go on to meet his beloved canine kids, Whiskey and Tia, and spend eternity in his place of happiness, nature.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Harris (Dustin and Darby), his son James Harris, his parents Gail and Eldon Hill (Terry and Lisa), his father Jim Harris (Dawn), and his best friend of several decades, John Langdon.
Rest in peace, Jim. We all love you dearly.
