Thomas J Novak

Tom graduated from Benedictine High School and Cleveland State University. On June 6, 1964, he married Mary A. (Kreeger) Novak who survives.

He worked for 32 years with Western Electric, Ohio Bell and then Ameritech Phone Company. He then worked for the Cuyahoga Valley Line and the Ohio Central Railroad in Surgarcreek.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coshocton, a Fourth Degree with the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Holy Name Society, active with the St. Vincent De Paul Society and the Friends of the Library at Coshocton Public Library. He loved everything about the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians; Tom was always willing to help others out; He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. One of his greatest memories was when he was crowned King of the Lanes at St. Wenceslas.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Novak; his four children, Timothy J. Novak of Cleveland, Andy (Shelly) Novak of Coshocton, John (Leslie) Novak of Cleveland and Maj. Jennifer N. Dinmore USAF (Ret) of Maryland; and five grandchildren, MIDN Ian T. Dinmore USNA, Aleah Dinmore, Jessie Novak, Nick Novak and Joey Novak.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. Due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, social distancing measures will be in place and there will be a limited number of people inside the funeral home at a time. We also ask that you please wear a facemask at all times for the health and safety of our guests and employees.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 11:00 am with Deacon Doug Mould officiating. A Facebook Live Stream will be available on the funeral homes Facebook page. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
