She was born June 12, 1929 in Marion County, Indiana on a small farm, the daughter of late Curnell John and Mary Aline Stewart. She was the eldest daughter of five siblings.
Her family moved from Indiana to Holtville, CA in 1945 where she met Arlie Brown and was married on December 3, 1948 and started a family. The growing family moved to San Diego, CA in 1963.
She is survived by her daughter, Janeen Brown Jackson and sons Michael Brown, Richard Brown and Kenneth Brown. Her husband Arlie Brown and son Wesley Brown preceded her in death. She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Her faith was in Jesus and she never wavered, she served him her entire life. God blessed her with the gifts of a forgiving nature, loving unconditionally, the ability to never utter an unkind word or complain, then he added a large dose of stubbornness. She raised five children on a budget and never showed her struggles. A dedicated mother and wife she devoted herself to her family. Her generosity, huge heart, strength, and grace will never be forgotten, and she was always there for anybody at any time. She will be missed every day.
She will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery with her husband Arlie Brown and son Wesley Brown, where she can be visited beginning February 2, 2021.
Due to COVID restrictions there will be no service, but the family will be gathering at the graveside at 11am on February 2, 2021.
