He was born in Springfield, November 13, 1943 the son of Archibald and Dorothy (Painter) Harmon. Bobby served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.
Bobby retired from the State of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. He was a member of the Eagles and was an avid hunter. His biggest passion however, was Pigeon Racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard Harmon, two sisters, Mary Wahlsmith and Dorothy Glass, and a grandson, Mikey Smith.
Surviving are his children: Peggy (Kevin) Irving of Chatham, IL, Brenda Smith and Richard (Debra) Harmon both of Springfield, Raymond (Marcia) Harmon of New Berlin, IL, Amy (Chad) Berg and Keele Harmon both of Montana, three brothers: Archie (Pat) Harmon of Dawson, IL, Billy (Donna) Harmon and Roger (Linda) Harmon both of Springfield. There are several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation Rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory. Private inurnment will be held in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
