Mary Beth (Wilson) Carr, age 98, of Maybell, Colorado, died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at her home. Mary Beth was born May 27, 1922 in Savanna, Oklahoma to W.C. and Florence (Graham) Wilson. She had two brothers, W.C. and Archie. They moved to Winton, Wyoming when she was still a baby. Her grandmother, Elizabeth Graham, moved and lived with them. They moved to Coal Springs Mountain after several years. She attended Beaver Creek School for her elementary years. Then they moved to Browns Park, several years later, where she graduated high school from Ladore School. She also helped her dad on the ranch to take care of the sheep. She married Harry Norman Carr on September 12th, 1944 in Green River, Wyoming. They resided in Greystone, Colorado then later moved to Maybell. They had two boys, Thomas and Rocky. They bought their house in Sunbeam in the 1970’s, where they retired from ranching. She loved gardening, embroidery, crocheting and reading. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Mary Beth is survived by both sons, Rocky (Christine) Carr and Tom (Ester) Carr. Grandchildren Randy Carr, Daniel Carr, Jennifer Brannan, Thomas Carr Jr, Michael (Stacey) Carr and Elizabeth Clark. Great-grandchildren Haven Carr, Lilly Carr, Alyssa Rodriguez, Jayden Carr, Kaley Hunt, Kristopher Brannan and Chloe Carr. Mary Beth was preceded in death by her husband Harry Norman Carr, her two brothers and her parents. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Northwest Colorado Health and Hospice in care of Grant Mortuary.
