Silas Neal Rickman was born April 18, 1936 in McNairy Co., TN. He married Nell Rickman on January 1, 1954. They were married for 51 years until her death on November 11, 2005. Survived by their children: Debbie Buchanan and her husband Bryan, Janet Neaderhiser and her husband John, Chris Rickman and his wife Suzanne. 8 Grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was a Technical SGT. in the USAF for 14 years, completing tours of duty in Japan and Hawaii before leaving the Air Force for civilian life. While stationed at Hickam AFB, he was responsible for building the golf course and built and ran a skeet and trap range there. He was on the 5 man skeet team that beat the world championship team, a major upset. He was also very involved in gun safety classes for adults and children and was able to raise funds to cover the costs for the facilities needed for these classes. He marketed numerous skeet and trap tournaments at Hickam, some attended by celebrities. His reputation grew in the skeet trap community and he was offered a job with Winchester, teaching gun safety classes and promoting tournaments in Dallas. He transitioned into real estate sales, as VP for Metroplex Properties in Dallas. Eventually he ran his own company, Pine Tree Estates, where he took 10,000 acres of wilderness in the Kiamichi mountains of Oklahoma and built a recreational getaway. This project was one of his proudest achievements. He moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1998 where he owned and operated a golf store and pastored a church. He married Loretta Phillips, August 10, 2013. He was a faithful member of Calvary Temple in Irving, Tx and a Regional Director for Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship.
