William was a native of Sulphur and a longtime member of Maplewood Church of Christ. William proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. William enjoyed fishing and hunting and visiting with his friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Ellen Box.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Shirley Box; a daughter, Marci Dannette Hall; grandson, Austun Dean Hall; step-son, Curtis David Butler; step-daughter, Erin Michelle Sonnier and husband, Christopher; grandchildren, Carson and Sloan Snead; sister, Mary Ella Soileau; and fur baby, Lily.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will resume 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service.
Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Bro. Brian Spicer will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss.
