Passed away peacefully at The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. We would like to thank Hospice for the compassionate care given to Max. Max was born on January 26, 1932 in Stuttgart, Germany. As a very young adult, he immigrated to Canada where he built his career as a Skilled Tradesman with the Ford Motor Company, retiring after 35 years of service. Max also built meaningful and memorable friendships that lasted a lifetime. Max was an inspirational, devoted, and passionate individual who always provided supportive and loving words to his family and friends. To his friends he was known as Max, but to his family he was known as the loving and humorous “Uncle Max”. Max could have you captivated with any story or conversation. He loved a good debate. He was a kind-hearted, loving individual who will be deeply missed by his close family friends Wolfgang and Eleonore Grohs and his Godsons and their spouses: Jeffrey Grohs (Diana), Robert Grohs (Carol), Glenn Grohs (Nancy). Uncle Max to Michael Grohs (Amanda), Christopher Grohs (Nicole), Gregory Grohs (Maria), Scott Grohs, and Chelsea Grohs. Great Uncle Max to Mason Grohs. Private service will take place for family due to the pandemic. Donations can made to the Windsor Cancer Society in honour of Max if so desired.
