Born in Reading, he was a son of James A. Hollis, Sr. of Mount Penn and the late Georgenna (Poulson) Hollis.
James was employed at various places in both Reading and Lancaster, last working at LSC Communications, Lancaster.
He is survived by 3 children with Syreeta Kim Johnson: Jaylynn Lauren Hollis, Jayvin Bryant and Jayzure Hollis. He is also survived by 2 children with Jenafer Caruso: Austin James Hollis and Christian Love Almonte. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Novalee Kate Martinez, as well as Syreeta’s parents, Larry and Judy Wallace; and his step mother Tracy Angstadt. Also surviving are his brothers, Elijah James Hollis and Jovan Tyler Hollis. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins residing in Reading, Philadelphia, Maryland, Ohio, New Jersey and Georgia.
Baby James loved basketball, movies, music and cooking but his greatest love was being with his family and friends.
Baby James will always be with us in our hearts. He will continue to look over each of us. He will provide strength, encouragement, laughter, and love. Let him live on through us all.
A sharing of memories by family and friends will take place on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 8:30 pm in Theo. C. Auman, Inc. Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, Pa. 19601. Friends and family may view on Wednesday from 6:00-8:30 pm. Interment will be private.
