Helen grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia and would often reminisce of her journeys on the east coast and her frequent trips to Peggy’s Cove. She and her husband Kenneth settled in the Comox Valley in the 1970’s and raised their six children here. Helen “Nanny” loved playing cards with family, sitting in the sun in her backyard and watching her grand and great grandchildren grow. She always had a way to make everyone smile and was full of kindness, sass and stories of her life’s adventures. Memories in which we all now hold dear and is a reminder to cherish every day and every moment with the ones you love. Nanny was the heart of our family and her spirit and passion will carry on within all of us she leaves behind.
Helen is survived by her son Kenneth (Angela) Krotz of North Delta, BC, daughter Barbara (Gerry) Bourdon of Kamloops, BC, daughter Janet (Bruce) Sampson of Cumberland, BC, son Dave (Cindy) Krotz of Courtenay, BC, son Glen (Alanna) Krotz of Fernie, BC, daughter Joan Kroon of Courtenay, BC, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Cheers to you our sweet Nanny. Go put on that ball gown and have a long dance with Papa.....xo
