Charles Melvin Vick Born October 16, 1926, joined his Savior in heaven February 11, 2021. Charles was a native of San Francisco, CA. He served in World War II and while stationed at NAS JAX he attended many local church dances. It was at one of those dances that he met Lucille Brown of Jacksonville. They married and had two children.
After the war Charles studied electrical engineering at the University of Florida. After a career with Honeywell, he and his second wife, Evelyn (Sadler) retired and spent the next 20+ years traveling and enjoying family visits and reunions.
Charles is predeceased by his parents, grandmother, sister, and wife. He is survived by his children John (Brenda) and Barbara (Dennis), his grandson, John (Annalisa), his granddaughter, Jessica (Andrew) Mund, a great grandson, Jack, and another great grandbaby, MiniMund on the way.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on February 27th at 11:00 am
