Ginny Williams passed away peacefully, as she found solace after her valiant battle with ovarian cancer and then COVID. The current lockdown protocols prevented her family from being by her side, so the family is especially grateful for the compassion and gentle care that Ginny received in her final hours; many thanks to the wonderful doctors and staff at Scripps Mercy Hospital of San Diego.
Ginny enjoyed a life that was long and adventurous. She enjoyed boating and waterskiing, but she loved good food and live theater too; she travelled the country and the world, always finding fun and adventure wherever she roamed. But Ginny’s most beloved pastime was spreading her love of Yoga, encouraging that love to grow in both novices and experienced acolytes. Ginny continued to teach Yoga into her 80s.
Ginny was the first child of Albert and Dorothy Gunther, and she was proud to be the oldest of her siblings. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Verne Williams. Ginny is survived by many loving relatives, including her daughter Jana Logan, her sons Michael Bourgeault and Jeremy Williams, her sister Sheri Nelson, and her brothers Bill Gunther and Steve Gunther, along with many nieces and nephews.
Please keep our beloved Yoga Teacher Ginny in your thoughts with your yoga poses, meditation and deep breathing. Ginny is now at ease; she is in perfect harmony, in perfect balance between mind and body.
