C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès soudain de Monsieur Robert Brind’Amour, survenu à l’Institut de cardiologue d’Ottawa, le dimanche 14 février 2021, à l’âge de93 ans. Il était l’époux bien-aimé de Sylvia Brind’Amour (née Giroux) et le fils de feu René Brind’Amour et de feu Irène Labelle. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses chers enfants : Claude (Giselle Nantais), Denis (Marie-Claire Nadon), André (Jocelyne Brind’Amour), René (Marie-Josée Houle) ainsi que ses belles-filles Sharon Lehr et Sandra Boxall (Wally Boxall) ; ses petits-enfants : Christian, Ghislain, Justin, Isabelle, Philippe, Benoit et ses 12 arrière-petits-enfants. Il laisse également ses sœurs Denise (Léo) et Gisèle ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousin(e)s et ami(e)s. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse en premières noces, Alice Bonenfant, mère de Claude, Denis et André ; ses sœurs : Simone, Annette, Cécile, Jacqueline et son frère Aurèle.
La famille accueillera parents et ami(e)s le vendredi le 15 octobre 2021 de 9h à 11h suivi d'un service commémoratif dans la chapelle de la maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier, 180, chemin Montréal, Ottawa. En mémoire de M. Brind’Amour, des dons à la Société Canadienne du Cancer seraient grandement appréciés.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Mr. Robert Brind’Amour, which occurred at the Ottawa Heart Institute, on Sunday February 14, 2021, at the age of 93. He was the beloved husband of Sylvia Brind’Amour (nee Giroux) and the son of the late René Brind’Amour and the late Irène Labelle. In addition to his wife, he leaves in sorrow his dear children: Claude (Giselle Nantais), Denis (Marie-Claude Nadon), André (Jocelyne Brind’Amour), René (Marie-Josée Houle) and his stepdaughters Sharon Lehr and Sandra Boxall (Wally Boxall); his grandchildren: Christian, Ghislain, Justin, Isabelle, Philippe, Benoit and 12 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his two sisters Denise (Léo) and Gisèle as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife, Alice Bonenfant, mother of Claude, Denis and André; his sisters: Simone, Annette, Cécile, Jacqueline and his brother Aurèle.
Family and friends may pay their respect on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service in the chapel of Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa. The family will In memory of Mr. Brind’Amour, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
